HOW DID SHIVA ORIGINATE?




● One of the most revered deities in Hinduism is Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva, the destroyer of the sufferings of the Gods of Gods, is worshiped in both idol and Shivalinga. Devotees of this creation call Shiva by many names like devotees Mahadev, Bholenath, Shiva Shambhu. Sawan month is the favorite month of Lord Shiva, so this whole month, Shiva devotees are engaged in worshiping him. In this devotional atmosphere of the month of Savan, we will tell you some interesting information related to Shiva


1). Shivling worship is considered very important in Hindu religion. ‘Shiva’ means ‘welfare’. ‘Linga’ means ‘creation’. There are two types of Shivalinga – the first meteoroid-like black oval which is also called Jyotirlinga. According to beliefs, the penis is a giant cosmic ovary which means the universe, it is considered a symbol of the entire universe. Where ‘Purush’ and ‘Prakriti’ are born. So the second Shivling is the mercury Shivling made by humans from mercury.

2). Shivji is considered self-proclaimed, that is, he is not born and has been in the world since time immemorial. But different stories about their origin are heard. As according to the Puranas, Lord Shiva is born from the glory of Lord Vishnu, due to which Mahadev always stays in Yogamudra. At the same time, according to Srimad Bhagwat, once Lord Vishnu and Brahma came under the control of arrogance and fighting themselves as superior, then Lord Shiva appeared from a burning pillar. In the Vishnu Purana, Shiva describes that Brahmaji did penance due to the need of a child, due to which suddenly Shiva appeared crying baby in his lap.


3). Many texts written about Lord Shiva have been written about his life, character, life, marriage and his family. But out of all of them, the Shiva-Purana written by Maharishi Ved Vyasa holds the highest position. This scripture explains in great detail the devotional glory of Lord Shiva and his incarnations. It is believed that reading and listening to Shiva Purana leads to the attainment of virtue. The Shiva Purana prominently promotes Shiva-bhakti and Shiva-glory.

4). Many stories and stories are prevalent in relation to how Shiv Jyotirlinga originated. According to Shivpuran, mind, mind, brahma, maya, jiva, intellect, vanity, sky, air, fire, water and earth are called Jyotirlinga or Jyoti Pind. There are a total of twelve Jyotirlingas of Shiva which are located in different corners of the country. These 12 Jyotirlingas are – Somnath, Mallikarjuna, Mahakaleshwar, Omkareshwar, Vaidyanath, Bhimshankar, Rameswaram, Nageshwar, Vishwanathji, Trimbakeshwar, Kedarnath, Ghrishneshwar.
