● Birth of Tulsidas –

•Tulsidas’s full name was Goswami Tulsidas and he was born in 1511 in Rajapura, Uttar Pradesh. His parents were named Hulsi Devi and Atmaram Dubey. It is said that he was born during the inauspicious constellations. Due to which they proved inauspicious for their parents and due to their inauspiciousness, their parents abandoned them. After which he was nurtured by Saint Baba Narharidas and he was taught by Baba Narharidas.



● Marriage of Tulsidas –

• Tulsidas was married to Ratnavali, daughter of Pandit Deenbandhu Pathak and had a son from this marriage. Whose name was Tarak. It is said that Tulsidas loved his wife very much and did not stay away from her even for a single moment. One day Ratnavali got very angry with Tulsidas and he angrily told Tulsidas that he loves to win, why not spend so much time in devotion to Lord Rama. His wife was touched by his heart and absorbed himself in devotion to Lord Rama.



● Ramcharitmanas written in three years-


•Saint Tulsidas took a lot of time to complete the epic ‘Ramcharitmanas’ based on the life of Lord Rama and he completed this epic in 2 years, 7 months and 26 days. In Ramcharitmanas, Tulsidas has described the life of Ram. Along with Ramcharitmanas, he has also composed Hanuman Chalisa.

● Tulsidas ji’s death-

• It is said that Tulsidas died after his illness and he spent the last moments of his life at Assi Ghat in Varanasi. It is said that he wrote Vinay Patrika at the last time of his life and this magazine was signed by shri Ram. Tulsidas died in 1623 after writing this title.
